CEO Minna Song took a front desk job at a real estate firm to learn about the industry’s pain points before starting the New York-based EliseAI in 2017. At the time, she struggled to convince investors to take a chance on an AI company targeting housing. “Now we go into investor meetings and they're pitching us back to us,” says Song, 35. In 2023, the startup expanded into another crucial industry: healthcare, where its tech helps verify insurance, make appointments and answer billing questions.
