At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

Senior Manager, Global Meetings & Events

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Global Meetings & Events (M&E) will play a critical role in building and advancing the company’s global M&E program. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Travel & Expense and Events, this role will lead the development of scalable sourcing strategies, supplier models, governance, and technology-enabled processes that improve how meetings and events are sourced and managed globally.

The Senior Manager will lead strategic sourcing and commercial initiatives across the M&E portfolio, including event agencies, hotels and venues, production partners, destination management companies (DMCs), event technology, and other strategic suppliers. The role will leverage enterprise spend and demand to improve commercial outcomes, strengthen supplier performance, and create greater visibility and consistency across the M&E ecosystem.

Beyond individual sourcing initiatives, this role will help build the infrastructure of a modern M&E program — including preferred supplier strategies, sourcing and contracting standards, service tiers, spend analytics, performance measurement, and self-service capabilities.

Working closely with M&E Operations, Travel, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and business stakeholders, this role will help transform M&E sourcing into a scalable, data-driven global program.

Core Responsibilities

M&E Program Strategy & Transformation

  • Develop and execute the global M&E program roadmap.

  • Establish scalable processes, governance, service tiers, sourcing thresholds, and decision frameworks across the M&E lifecycle.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize how meetings and events are sourced across regions and business functions.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that advance the future-state M&E operating model, including playbooks, tools, and self-service capabilities.

  • Drive adoption of new processes and ways of working through stakeholder engagement and change management.

  • Partner with M&E leadership, Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and handoffs across strategic sourcing, program governance, and event planning and execution.

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Lead strategic sourcing for complex and high-value M&E spend, including agencies, hotels and venues, production, DMCs, event technology, and other event-related categories.

  • Develop sourcing and preferred supplier strategies that leverage aggregate enterprise demand and increase purchasing power.

  • Lead complex RFPs, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contracting in partnership with Procurement, Legal, and business stakeholders.

  • Establish commercial frameworks, preferred terms, and supplier models that optimize cost, service, flexibility, and risk.

  • Develop supplier governance and performance management, including KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, business reviews, and escalation mechanisms.

  • Identify and deliver measurable savings, cost avoidance, negotiated value, and process efficiencies.

  • Establish commercial standards and controls for event-related spend, including pricing transparency, contract terms, payment structures, and cancellation protections.

Analytics & Program Performance

  • Establish visibility into M&E demand, spend, supplier utilization, sourcing activity, and negotiated value.

  • Define and track program KPIs including savings, supplier performance, sourcing cycle time, preferred supplier adoption, and compliance.

  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership and business stakeholders.

  • Use portfolio-level insights to identify opportunities for demand management, supplier consolidation, increased leverage, and program optimization.

Technology, Automation & AI

  • Support the strategy, implementation, and adoption of M&E technology and self-service capabilities.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline intake, sourcing, supplier selection, contracting, and reporting.

  • Apply AI and advanced analytics to improve sourcing decisions, supplier insights, spend visibility, and program efficiency.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and measure the impact of new capabilities.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to event owners and business stakeholders on sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial considerations, and appropriate engagement models.

  • Build strong partnerships across M&E Operations, Travel, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and regional teams.

  • Balance business requirements with enterprise standards, commercial objectives, risk, and scalability.

  • Communicate program performance, opportunities, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in meetings & events, strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, program management, or related disciplines.

  • Significant experience sourcing meetings and events and negotiating with agencies, hotels and venues, production partners, DMCs, and other event suppliers.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex RFPs, negotiations, supplier selections, and contracts.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with spend analysis, savings methodologies, and supplier economics.

  • Experience developing preferred supplier strategies and supplier performance programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable programs and lead complex cross-functional initiatives across multiple regions and business functions.

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence in a highly matrixed global organization.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate data into business recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or transforming a global enterprise M&E program.

  • Experience with M&E technology, sourcing platforms, and self-service meeting solutions.

  • Experience developing global supplier strategies and governance models.

  • Experience applying automation, AI, or advanced analytics within M&E, Sourcing, or Procurement.

  • Experience working within a large, global technology organization.

Success Measures

Success will be measured by the development of a scalable global M&E program; measurable commercial value and savings; increased visibility into M&E spend and demand; strong preferred supplier adoption and performance; improved sourcing and contracting efficiency; effective adoption of technology and self-service capabilities; and consistent, data-driven M&E sourcing practices across the organization.
