This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with our Legal team, outside counsel, and other stakeholders, manage commercial-, IP-, trademark-, bankruptcy-, and employment-related disputes and litigation matters.

  • Manage responses to subpoenas, garnishment orders, domestic relations orders, statutory requests for information, and requests from government and law enforcement agencies.

  • Lead and manage internal investigations on matters involving legal risks to Snowflake.

  • Assist and lead efforts in creating, improving, and developing scalable processes and procedures related to the handling of litigation matters for a growing company.

  • Advise business stakeholders on litigation risks and issues involved in business disputes.

  • Pragmatically weigh legal risks and benefits of complex situations and propose practical solutions with tact and maturity.

  • Review and advise on litigation-related contractual provisions in commercial agreements, to include providing advice on dispute resolution, governing law, venue, arbitration, limitation of liability, and indemnification clauses.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school, membership in at least one state bar, and ability to practice in the jurisdiction in which this position is located.

  • Minimum of 4 years of legal experience, with substantive litigation experience.

  • Experience managing complex litigation and/or class action claims.

  • Experience conducting internal investigations.

  • Law firm experience and in-house experience preferred.

  • Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms.

  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment.

  • Attitude that no project is too big or too small.

  • Sense of humor and passion for the job.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
