About Us:

At Parafin, we’re on a mission to grow small businesses.

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, but traditional banks often don’t have their backs. We build tech that makes it simple for small businesses to access the financial tools they need through the platforms they already sell on.

We partner with companies like DoorDash, Amazon, Worldpay, and Mindbody to offer fast and flexible funding, spend management, and savings tools to their small business users via a simple integration. Parafin takes on all the complexity of capital markets, underwriting, servicing, compliance, and customer service for our partners.

We’re a tight-knit team of innovators hailing from Stripe, Square, Plaid, Coinbase, Robinhood, CERN, and more — all united by a passion for building tools that help small businesses succeed. Parafin is backed by prominent venture capitalists including GIC, Notable Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Ribbit Capital, and Thrive Capital. Parafin is a Series C company, and we have raised more than $194M in equity and $340M in debt facilities.

Join us in creating a future where every small business has the financial tools they need.

About the Position

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing to join our leadership team and build the next chapter of Parafin’s marketing strategy. This role will own everything from brand to narrative to demand generation as we scale from fintech disruptor to category leader. This is a senior-level marketing hire who wants to both develop and execute on the marketing strategy and is willing to roll up their sleeves. You’ll report to the CRO and partner closely with Founders, Product, and GTM teams. You’ll define the brand ethos that resonates with platform leaders, build the demand engine that unlocks predictable growth, and position Parafin as the default choice for small business embedded financial services.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Building a comprehensive Marketing strategy – develop and execute the company’s overall marketing vision and strategy. Align marketing initiatives with business goals, product strategy, and revenue objectives.

  • Brand Management – Define and strengthen the company’s brand, positioning, and messaging frameworks that make “Parafin-powered” synonymous with modern embedded finance that serves small businesses.

  • Build a full-funnel engine – Lead customer acquisition, lead generation, and revenue-driving marketing campaigns that generate and accelerate $XXXM+ pipeline.

  • Communication & PR – Shape category-defining thought leadership and develop key messages that will build favorable awareness for Parafin amongst our platforms, small businesses, and for recruiting.

  • Launch products that win markets – Partner with Product & GTM to create product-marketing playbooks, pricing narratives, and enablement materials for new offerings.

  • Lead & scale a high-impact team – Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary marketing org

  • Own insights & analytics – Define KPIs, implement tooling, and turn data into action that levels up acquisition, engagement, and customer expansion.

What We’re Searching For:

  • 10+ years in B2B marketing with at least 4 years leading teams in fintech, SaaS, or payments.

  • Experience building and defining fintech brands to a B2B audience.

  • Demonstrated success generating 8-figure pipeline at Series B+ or public-company scale.

  • Deep command of growth and demand-gen channels (case studies, blog posts, ABM, events, partner marketing) and modern MarTech stacks.

  • Strategic mindset with hands-on bias: you can set vision, roll up sleeves, and iterate quickly.

  • Proven product-marketing chops—able to translate complex financial technology into clear, compelling value propositions.

  • Exceptional storytelling, written, and verbal communication skills; comfortable in front of C-suite execs, journalists, and conference stages.

We Prefer If You Have:

  • Experience marketing to two-sided platforms or marketplaces.

  • Familiarity with capital markets, underwriting, or credit products.

What We Offer

  • Salary Range: $250 - $320k

  • Equity grant

  • Medical, dental & vision insurance

  • Unlimited PTO & work-from-home flexibility

  • Commuter benefits

  • Free lunches

  • Paid parental leave

  • 401(k)

  • Employee assistance program

If you require reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employee selection process, please contact us.
