Materials Management
On-site

At Relativity Space, we’re building rockets to serve today’s needs and tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. But that’s just the start. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock new opportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known.

Joining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven’t been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you’re in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you’ll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories we’re writing together. Now is a unique moment in time where it’s early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, and the culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The most meaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us.

About the Team
Supply Chain at Relativity Space designs, implements, and optimizes the end-to-end supply chain networks required to manufacture, test, and launch Terran R, our next generation reusable launch vehicle. Within Supply Chain, the Materials Management team owns the physical and systematic movement of inventory, including shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, material handling, and production control. In this role, you will be responsible for inventory accuracy and efficient, timely material movement. You will become a subject matter expert on our enterprise systems (ERP, MES, and others) and work with internal customers across work centers including Avionics, Propulsion, Machine Shop, Tube Shop, Additive, and Structures and Integration.

About the Role
This is a first-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week.

  • Coordinate international air, ocean, and ground shipments with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Develop Dangerous Goods and Trade Compliance procedures, and build new shipping processes that keep pace with company growth, using strong problem solving and a process-oriented approach in a fast-changing environment.
  • Package and secure shipments safely, which involves standing for extended periods, operating a forklift, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Communicate with internal customers and external partners to resolve shipping questions, and maintain the shipping area, including ordering equipment and supplies as needed.

About You

  • 2+ years of experience in a shipping, inventory, receiving inspection, or material handling role
  • 2+ years of forklift experience
  • Hands-on international shipping experience, including preparing export documentation and coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers
  • Experience classifying shipments using HTS codes and ECCN determination
  • Experience with shipping and warehousing software, Microsoft Office, and Atlassian tools
