About the team

The Operations team at Airwallex ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of our services and processes. We focus on optimizing workflows, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer support. By streamlining operations and implementing best practices, we help drive the company's growth and maintain high service standards. Our team is dedicated to providing a seamless experience for our customers and supporting Airwallex’s mission to empower businesses globally.

About the Role

Based in our South Korea office (Seoul), this role will own the South Korea operations function to ensure our current and future customers have a seamless experience with Airwallex. With our business continuing to expand globally and our South Korea client base scaling rapidly, the Operations Manager will have the opportunity to build and lead a team in a way that is scalable and efficient.

Through optimising current operations processes and implementing new ones, the ultimate goal of this function is to ensure all local rules and regulations are followed and that the end-user experience is seamless.

What you'll do

  • Identify and drive strategic projects to improve our customer experience, as well as help operationalize various internal Airwallex functions

  • Take a data-driven approach to problem solving

  • Work across functions to ensure stakeholder alignment and deliver desired outcomes

  • Help build processes relating to customer support

  • Manage the daily operation and monitoring of AML/compliance programs

  • Work with the Compliance Manager to operationalise emerging regulatory and compliance requirements (such as KYC, AML, CTF) on a regular basis

  • Work with the product teams to promote our Operations product and excellence our operations affairs

  • Monitoring and improving the efficiency of key compliance operations functions including transaction monitoring, KYC, and name screening

  • Monitoring payment and treasury related operations for the regional business

  • Help define key KPIs and build the appropriate reports to improve the customer experience while driving efficiency improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • 7+ years relevant experience

  • Experience working in a global environment is preferred

  • Experience in FinTech or start-up or fast-growing tech company experience is preferred

  • Experience in Top-tier strategy/management consulting is preferred

  • Fluency in English and Korean
