About ARQ

ARQ is one of the fastest-growing fintechs in the world. Our mission is to redefine how people interact with money across borders, building the infrastructure to move value seamlessly. We’re still early in our journey, which means every person who joins shapes the future of our product, culture, and growth. If you’re excited by big challenges, global impact, and the chance to grow fast with a world-class team, ARQ is the place to do it.

About the role

You will be ARQ’s founding Investment Advisor in Brazil, owning and shaping our Wealth and Investments Advisory function from the ground up.

You will define how ARQ understands each investor, constructs portfolios and delivers suitable investment recommendations through a digital, scalable wealth product. You will also serve as the designated responsible POC for ARQ’s investment advisory activity before the BCB

This is a high-ownership role with the opportunity to become ARQ’s investments advisory authority in Brazil and, as the business grows, take on broader leadership of our local Wealth function.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own ARQ’s investment advisory function in Brazil end to end.

  • Define our approach to investor profiling, risk assessment, investment objectives and suitability.

  • Develop ARQ’s investment philosophy, advisory methodology and portfolio-construction approach.

  • Design and review model portfolios and investment recommendations across relevant asset classes.

  • Monitor the quality and suitability of recommendations and ensure the underlying rationale is properly documented.

  • Review and approve investment content, portfolio communications and other customer-facing advisory materials.

  • Act as the Responsible Officer in charge of the investment advisory activity and serve as a primary contact with BCB and other regulatory bodies on related matters.

  • Own the regulatory processes applicable to the advisory activity, including the annual Formulário de Referência and the relevant policies, disclosures and records.

  • Contribute to ARQ’s broader Wealth roadmap in Brazil, including future products.

  • Work with ARQ’s global teams to translate our investment vision into a simple, high-quality customer experience.

What you’ll need

  • 3+ years of experience in investment advisory, wealth management, portfolio management or private banking at a regulated financial institution.

  • Hands-on experience advising clients on investment strategies, portfolios or financial products.

  • Strong understanding of investor objectives, risk profiles, investment horizons and portfolio suitability.

  • Broad knowledge of investment products, such as fixed income, funds, equities, ETFs, private credit and pension products.

  • Strong investment judgement and the ability to communicate recommendations clearly.

  • High ownership and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.

  • Native Portuguese and professional English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at a digital broker, robo-advisor or wealth fintech.

  • Experience designing model portfolios or standardized investment strategies.

  • Knowledge of ETFs and US-listed securities.

  • Experience building or launching a new investment advisory business.

  • Previous authorization as a Consultor de Valores Mobiliários.

  • CEA, CGA, CNPI, CFP, CFA Level III or another relevant qualification.

  • Experience interacting directly with the BCB or supporting regulatory reviews.

Benefits

  • Stock options, so you own part of what you build

  • Discretionary performance bonus

  • The latest tools and technology

  • A world-class team that will challenge and grow your skills

  • The opportunity to help build the best fintech app in Latin America
