Exa is building an API to the world's knowledge. We are one of the only companies that has built a search engine from scratch, and our research lab is bringing cutting-edge information retrieval to the world. We're looking for a Designer with strong visual taste to help drive rich, developer-friendly experiences across web and brand.
Designers at Exa have broad creative license, and the freedom to create and lead new initiatives based on your best product judgement. We expect a broad set of skills and the ability to create high-quality designs, interactions, and prototypes.If you are a versatile designer who enjoys rapidly iterating on a variety of projects, this might be the right role for you.
What you will do
Lead Exa's brand identity and maintain brand guidelines across all platforms and touchpoints.
Explore visual designs in Figma and translate them into web-native experiences
Identify and pursue new areas of product growth; create and iterate on product flows and high-fidelity visuals
Work with marketing on branding initiatives that can extend across various channels
Example projects
Work with front-end engineering to develop the flow, layout, and features of our API playground.
Design website landing pages that highlight our search capabilities for different industries.
About you
Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong background in graphic design and brand development.
Expertise in UX/UI principles for complex technical products.
Frontend engineering, motion design, or illustration skills are a plus.
Great storytelling skill through visuals or writing. 3+ years of experience, with ideally at least 1-2 years of in-house design experience.
