About EliseAI

At EliseAI, we're improving the industries that matter most: housing and healthcare. Everyone needs a place to live and access to quality healthcare, yet both are often harder to secure than they should be.

By integrating AI agents deeply into existing workflows, we make them more efficient, reduce costs, and improve the experience for everyone.

  • Housing: We simplify how renters tour apartments, sign leases, submit maintenance requests, and stay connected with their property team—bringing everything they need for their home into one place.

  • Healthcare: We make it easy to schedule appointments, complete intake forms, and we help patients communicate with providers, so everyone can focus on health instead of paperwork.

With EliseAI, organizations reduce manual work, improve accessibility, and deliver a seamless experience across essential services. We recently raised a $250 million Series E round led by Andreessen Horowitz to accelerate this mission.

About The Role

We are seeking a Compliance Lead to help build and operate our AML/BSA, KYC/KYB, fraud detection and loss prevention, and sanctions compliance programs. This role will be instrumental in maintaining regulatory readiness, managing relationships with banking and financial institution partners, and ensuring our policies, processes, and systems support responsible growth.

You will work cross-functionally with Legal, Product, Engineering, Operations, and business stakeholders to operationalize compliance efforts, support audits and examinations, and improve KYC and transaction-monitoring workflows. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on our ability to meet critical compliance timelines, maintain trusted partner relationships, and support the operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve the company's fraud monitoring, KYC/KYB, AML/BSA and OFAC/sanctions compliance programs, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, and governance materials

  • Serve as a primary compliance contact for banking, fintech, and other financial institution partners, overseeing recurring meetings, reporting cycles, obligations, open items, and escalations

  • Lead KYC/KYB processes, oversee transaction-monitoring operations, review escalated alerts and investigations, and prepare Unusual Activity Reports (UARs) and other required reports for financial institution partners

  • Work with Legal, Product, and Engineering to translate regulatory requirements into practical workflows, controls, system rules, audit trails, and monitoring capabilities

  • Contribute compliance guidance to new products and market initiatives, identifying risks early and helping teams launch responsibly at speed

  • Coordinate compliance testing, audits, examinations, issue remediation, and responses to partner or regulator requests

  • Track state and federal regulatory developments, translating them into clear, prioritized actions for the business

  • Help build a culture where compliance is practical, embedded in the product, and accountable to real outcomes

  • Own our BSA/AML compliance training program, building content, tracking completion, and reporting to third parties

Requirements

  • 5+ years of AML/BSA compliance experience at a fintech, bank, payment processor, money services business, or comparable regulated financial institution

  • Hands-on experience managing relationships with banking partners, sponsor banks, or other financial institutions

  • Experience building an AML/BSA compliance program from 0 to 1

  • Working knowledge of transaction monitoring, customer identification and due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, investigations, and UAR and SAR processes

  • Strong understanding of FinCEN regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act, and OFAC sanctions requirements

  • Experience with compliance technology and operational tooling; familiarity with platforms such as Sardine or similar systems is a plus

  • Clear written communication, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex compliance requirements for cross-functional stakeholders

  • Excellent organizational rigor and the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and stakeholders without things slipping

  • Willingness to work in person at our office 4–5 days a week

Job Compensation Range

The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $190,000. EliseAI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits & perks package. Exact compensation is determined based on a number of factors including experience, skill level, location and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided by our Recruiting Team during the hiring process.

EliseAI

Company profile

Over 80 percent of the country’s largest property management firms use EliseAI’s agents to speed up repetitive admin work like tracking maintenance requests, scheduling apartment tours and renewing leases. CEO Minna Song took a front desk job at a real estate firm to learn about the industry’s pain points before starting the New York-based EliseAI in 2017. At the time, she struggled to convince investors to take a chance on an AI company targeting housing. “Now we go into investor meetings and they're pitching us back to us,” says Song, 35. In 2023, the startup expanded into another crucial industry: healthcare, where its tech helps verify insurance, make appointments and answer billing questions.
