Sales
On-site

At Navan, the Associate Account Executive (AAE) is the strategic partner to our Senior Account Executives on 6 and 7-figure deals. This is an elite “sales school" designed for ambitious professionals, who are ready to move away from transactional cycles and into the world of complex, multi-stakeholder corporate software sales.

Why This Role?

This is a 15 month runway. We aren't looking for someone to stay an Associate forever; we are hiring the next generation of Sales Talent. If you have the ability to think strategically, the  fluency in German to dominate the DACH market, as well as being resilient and driven, we want to talk.

The "Navan MBA" - What You’ll Master

We don’t just expect you to know the playbook; we teach it to you. You will exit this role with the expertise in:

  • The MEDDPICC Framework: You’ll learn to break down complex deals into actionable step using the gold standard of corporate sales methodologies.
  • Executive Navigation: How to move past gatekeepers to build genuine partnerships with C-suite stakeholders.
  • The Enterprise Playbook: From initial discovery to the final "Closed-Won" step, you’ll see exactly how the world’s biggest deals are won.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Account Mapping: You aren't just "prospecting." You’re conducting deep-dive research into org charts to identify pain points and map Navan’s value proposition to their bottom line.
  • Deal Strategy: Partner with Senior AEs to conduct targeted outreach to C-Suite stakeholders. You aren't just setting meetings; you’re co-driving the business case.
  • Intelligence Gathering: Map out the "political landscape" of prospect organizations. Who is the Economic Buyer? Who is the Champion? You’ll find out.

What We’re Looking For

  • A "Strategic" Mindset: we are looking for initial full-time experience in Consulting, M&A, Private Equity, Strategy. You know how to ask the second and third layer of questions to find the real problem.
  • Language Mastery: C2 fluency in German and at least B2 in English. You can navigate a complex business negotiation in both languages with ease.
  • Unrivaled Drive: You are a self-starter who doesn't wait for a manual. You have a "founder" mentality — if a process is broken, you fix it; if a door is closed, you find a window.
  • Strategic Thinking: You can look at a global corporation and logically deduce which stakeholders need to be involved and what their unique incentives are.
  • Executive Presence: You are comfortable and articulate when speaking with VPs and C-Suite executives. You trade in value, not just features.
