They specialize in industrial data infrastructure, automation, analytics, and enterprise software solutions that improve visibility, reliability, operational performance, and decision-making.

As they expand its presence across the United States, they're looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate qualified opportunities for their industrial software and services business. This is a consultative B2B sales development role focused on engaging technical decision-makers within industrial organizations—not a high-volume outbound sales position.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly driven SDR/BDR with experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, utilities, renewable energy, or enterprise software markets.

In this role, you'll identify target accounts, research business opportunities, engage key stakeholders, qualify prospects, and schedule discovery meetings for CereBulb's leadership team. Success requires strong outbound sales skills, excellent research abilities, and confidence communicating with engineering, operations, OT, and IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Account Research & Targeting

• Research companies across renewable energy, utilities, water, manufacturing, mining, and other industrial sectors.

• Build highly targeted prospect lists based on company size, geography, operational assets, and digital transformation initiatives.

• Identify organizations that may benefit from PI System, industrial historians, SCADA integration, operational dashboards, industrial analytics, and data modernization.

• Research facilities, technology stacks, operational challenges, and business drivers.

Lead Generation & Prospecting

• Identify and verify decision-makers across Operations, Engineering, Reliability, Maintenance, OT, IT, Automation, and Digital Transformation teams.

• Execute personalized outbound campaigns through email, LinkedIn, phone, and other approved channels.

• Tailor messaging based on each prospect's industry, operational challenges, and business priorities.

• Generate interest in CereBulb's industrial intelligence, PI System, dashboarding, analytics, and integration services.

• Schedule qualified discovery meetings with the sales leadership team.

Lead Qualification

Qualify prospects by identifying:

• Current industrial software environment (PI System, AVEVA, OSIsoft, SCADA, historians, telemetry, IoT, MES, EAM, CMMS, etc.)

• Business challenges related to operational visibility, reporting, asset performance, reliability, maintenance, energy management, or compliance.

• Project timelines, urgency, business priorities, and purchasing authority.

• Technical and business fit for CereBulb's services.

CRM & Reporting

• Maintain accurate CRM records and prospect activity.

• Document outreach efforts, meeting outcomes, qualification notes, and next steps.

• Provide weekly reports on prospecting activity, meetings booked, response rates, campaign performance, and market insights.

• Share recommendations to improve messaging, targeting, and campaign effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Lead Generation, Appointment Setting, or B2B Outbound Sales.

• Experience selling software, SaaS, industrial technology, engineering services, automation, or enterprise technology solutions.

• Experience selling into enterprise, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, utilities, renewable energy, or automation industries is highly preferred.

• Comfortable engaging senior executives including CIOs, Operations Directors, Engineering Managers, and Digital Transformation leaders.

• Strong consultative communication skills with the ability to discuss technical business solutions rather than scripted sales pitches.

• Strong experience engaging U.S.-based prospects.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• Strong research, prospecting, and account mapping skills.

• Comfortable conducting cold outreach through email, LinkedIn, and phone.

• Ability to personalize outreach rather than relying solely on templates.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Experience using CRM and sales engagement platforms.
